Terms of Service

Effective 2026-04-18. Last updated 2026-04-18.

Who we are

These Terms govern your use of Rhythmwyze (the "Service") — a personal rhythm-tracking app available on the web at rhythmwyze.com and as native iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password safe. We'll never ask for it in an email. If you suspect unauthorized access, email support@rhythmwyze.com and we'll help.
  • One account per person, please. Don't create an account using someone else's email or identity.

Acceptable use

Don't do things that would get a reasonable person kicked out of most places:

  • No attempting to breach, probe, or overwhelm our systems.
  • No reverse-engineering or scraping the Service outside what the public API allows.
  • No using the Service to store or transmit content that's unlawful, harmful to others, or infringes someone else's rights.
  • No automating check-ins at a pace that wouldn't be plausible for a human.

Your content

The categories, ratings, notes, and profile info you add to Rhythmwyze are yours. You give us a narrow license to store, display, and sync them on your behalf — just enough to run the app. We don't claim ownership, we don't reuse your content anywhere else, and the license ends when you delete your account.

Our content

The Service itself — the design, the code, the brand, the content we write — belongs to Rhythmwyze. We're happy for you to talk about it and share screenshots of your own data; please don't copy the app itself.

Subscriptions and paid tiers

Rhythmwyze has a free tier and optional paid tiers (Standard, Premium, and — in a future phase — Professional for coaches). Paid features are listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds are handled case-by-case — email us within 14 days if something's wrong and we'll work it out.
  • If you subscribe through the iOS App Store or Google Play, those platforms' refund policies apply to their purchases in addition to ours.

Beta, prototype, and preview features

This version of Rhythmwyze is under active development. Features are added, changed, and occasionally removed. We'll do our best to preserve your data through changes, but features marked "beta" or "preview" can change behavior without notice.

Availability and changes

We aim for 24/7 availability but don't promise it. Maintenance windows, AWS outages, and the occasional bug happen. We'll post notice at rhythmwyze.com for anything that affects you materially.

We can update the Service and these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we'll email the address on file at least 14 days ahead.

Termination

  • By you: email us from your account address and we'll delete your account per the Privacy Policy.
  • By us: we can suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, fails payment, or is inactive for more than 24 months. We'll email the account first when possible.

Disclaimer

Rhythmwyze is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. It is not a medical, mental-health, financial, or professional-coaching tool. If you're using it to track mood or health signals, please also work with a qualified professional — the app's job is to surface patterns, not to diagnose or treat anything.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rhythmwyze's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Iowa.
